"Let the sky intoxicate you." Wooden decks looking out over Ikaho's natural surroundings. Rooms featuring open-air spring baths, brimming with the warmth of wood.

The Ikaho Hot Springs are wrapped in the elegance of nature, the stone stepped streets which color one's travels, and a rich, old history. The history of hot springs goes back 400 years, when people sought after hot springs that were both beneficial and plentiful. Hot springs even prospered as therapeutic baths.
縲? The "Ikaho Streets of Stone Steps", which is one of the three great flights of steps created at this time in Japan, is a symbol of the Ikaho Hot Springs. In these stone steps, which have been repaired over and over and treated with great care, is the hope for prosperity that this will be "a town bustling with people 365 days a year." At the base of the ascent for these stone steps is the "Hotel Tamaki."
縲?Turn off from the hustle and bustle of the streets, become immersed in a dignified Japanese atmosphere, and be greeted by smiling faces that put one at ease. Move into the entrance and be beckoned forward by the warmth of the wood which gently wraps around you. From the hall you can see the scrupulously maintained garden spread out before your eyes. You will feel our modest consideration for our guests in the casual decorations of wild flowers and the Japanese accessories which are only to be found in a Japanese inn and your heart will be calmed by the quiet atmosphere.
縲?If the goal of your travels is to relax and heal your body, then we have the perfect facilities prepared. Inside our hotel, we provide stone saunas and relaxation rooms which you can make use of in pairs or privately to relax down to the very core of your body. There are also an abundance of options at our beauty salon, "Honoka", where you can polish you skin after it has been moistened by the hot springs. We use the French made essential oils of DECLEOR.

We have open air guest rooms and private spaces for healing. Our new wood decks give an unbroken panoramic view. This is the "Yuzuriha" guest room with an open air bath on the top floor of the northern building. The floor plan is made in a relaxed and pure Japanese style with a 4 mat veranda and a 12 mat Japanese style room where the alcoves are decorated with seasonal flowers that give rise to a sensation of Japaneseness.
縲? The open air bath in the guest room is through the door of the powder room where there is a shower and other amenities. Here you can gaze out at the unbroken view of the Joushu mountains and enjoy an expanse of private space where you can relax away from the eyes of others. The open air bath where you can stretch out and submerge yourself is filled with silver water. You can also have a moment of comfort during your break from the hot springs in the relaxation space.
縲? The large public bath of "The Waters of Hashibami" is genuine wood which uses the wood of the Japanese chestnut tree in abundance. The water for the baths is from 100% free-flowing sources (which are heated). The indoor bath is overflowing with the clouded and dark reddish-brown "golden water" and the open air bath is filled with the pure "silver water." For lovers of hot springs, to be able to enjoy 2 types of spring water at once is an irresistible luxury. Please enjoy recovering from your everyday fatigue in the steam mist area and the sauna that we have also installed.
縲? After your bath, wet your throat with prepared drinks and look up at the night sky from the moon viewing platform in the courtyard to enjoy a taste of what can only be had at a hot springs hotel.
